This summer will mark a “season of change” for the Orange Tree Golf Resort.  With our new GM, Bruce Hamm, at the helm, we have a lot of exciting things planned.  Many of you have noticed our new logo, new website and new email address, but that’s just the beginning.  We can’t divulge everything quite yet, but here are some highlights…		Inside this issue… · Changing for the Better · Golf News · Restaurant Update · Summer Room Specials · Meeting Packages

• We are continuing our guest room renovation – 40 additional suites will be completely remodeled over the summer months.  By October 2008 50% of our guest suites will be completed.
• We will begin to remodel some public areas and replace soft items such as drapes in the meeting rooms.
• We have added a computer with free high speed internet access for our in-house guests to use, which is located in our lobby.
• Our newly formed “Green Committee” will have our staff looking at ways we can recycle and be more environmentally friendly.
• We have added highlights of new color on the exterior of our main building.

Don’t worry, we still have the same friendly faces and warm relaxed atmosphere.  We are eager to show off our new look, new attitude and what we’ve done to “change for the better.”  We hope to see you soon!

GOLF NEWS

Summer will be upon us quickly, which means a number of things at the Orange Tree Golf Course…

SUMMER GOLF RATES:
Summer heat also brings new golf rates into play. On May 27, we officially lowered our green fees to the summer rates. The new rates will be $45 + tax before 2:00pm, and $30 + tax after 2:00pm. We will continue to offer special rates online, and will adjust the time of day we start offering reduced rates based on length of daylight hours and volume of activity for that day.

With the daylight hours stretching longer in the summer months, we will also keep our driving range and practice facilities open longer. Currently the range is open until 7:00pm and the Golf Shop stops selling practice balls at 6:30pm.

RESTAURANT UPDATE

Two fantastic restaurants await you here at the beautiful Orange Tree Golf Resort: The Fairway Terrace and Longitude 10601.

The Fairway Terrace serves breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. We open at 6:30am for breakfast and serve dinner until 9 or 10pm depending on the night. We offer indoor and patio seating, but recommend dining outdoors as our patio offers beautiful views of the golf course and luscious greenery.

Longitude 10601 is our evening restaurant which opens at 5pm. We feature Pacific Rim Cuisine with influences from the Eastern and Western Hemispheres. Some of our wonderful dishes included; Smoked Salmon baked to order in a banana leaf, Eastern Stuffed Pork, Asian Ahi, Ancho Beef marinated in Ancho chili’s and lime, Columbian Tuna coated in a rich coffee cream sauce and much more. 10601 Lounge: We offer live entertainment on Friday & Saturday nights in our lounge starting at 9PM and ending at 1am. Tribe 7 is our house band and they play a wide variety of upbeat music including; salsa, reggae, R&B, hip hop, Latin, etc. Guests come from all over to enjoy cocktails, forget their worries, and dance the night away.

Our summer hours are now in affect for the restaurants. Longitude 10601 is closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday but in place of its menu we are offering a special evening lounge menu where we are serving in our lounge and patio.
